About

Person-Centered, Compassionate, Integrative Care.

When I began my mental health career over twenty years ago working with families within various systems, I quickly learned that traditional clinical models can miss "label" and completely ignore an individual’s lived truth. My personal and professional perspectives were shaped early on. Having grown up in the foster care system, I lived within a broken system that often failed to recognize diversity within families of varying cultures, religions, races. I gained an early, deeply personal understanding of systemic failures, oppression, and what it can feel like to experience a world where inclusivity and belonging felt conditional, fleeting and unpredictable. Wanting to practice mental health in a way that respects whole human beings and their diversity rather than clinical labels, I chose to pursue my master's degree at Bastyr University in the Pacific Northwest. Today, I am a Licensed, Nationally Certified, and WA State Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), with specialized training as a Integrative Mental Health, Certified Trauma Professional, and a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist. Since 2009, I have been a Washington state Child Specialist and have served as an approved Clinical Supervisor, guiding the next generation of therapists in Washington State. Throughout my career across education, juvenile justice, grassroots nonprofits, and large community health networks, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredibly diverse populations—especially those who have been marginalized by the very systems meant to support them. Because of this, I use a humanistic and collaborative approach. My therapeutic style is a conversational process, and my job is to help at look your entire context- your environment, your relationships, your struggles, and your strengths and give you the tools to tackle the challenges that feel overwhelming and support your overall well-being.
